Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator – Oakland, CA
Job Summary
Syneos Health is seeking a Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator for a field-based role in Oakland, California, dedicated to educating Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the importance of ocular monitoring in patients with relapsed refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). In this position, you'll collaborate with cross-functional oncology teams to deliver impactful training and reinforce FDA-aligned communication of REMS-related product details. This is a unique opportunity to improve patient care by empowering healthcare professionals with crucial education in the biopharma space.
Key Responsibilities
Train Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on essential eye exams for RRMM patients.
Develop and deliver clear, tailored educational materials to support patient exam communication.
Partner with Oncology Account Managers and Medical Affairs teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
Provide REMS-related product information in line with FDA guidance.
Support care coordination across teams and patient touchpoints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Nursing, Optometry, or related clinical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing focused on oncology or specialized medical education.
OR 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience with patient care and education.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex oncology topics to ECPs.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional healthcare teams.
Experience creating and delivering clinical or product training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in specialty pharmacy or payer environments.
Certified Registered Nurse (CRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with eye care background.
