Role Overview

The Clinical Data Services Specialist (Team Lead/Consultant) role is a senior-level position within Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D vertical, focused on managing and delivering high-quality clinical data and reporting solutions. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with strong expertise in clinical database programming, EDC systems, and clinical trial reporting, who can lead workstreams and contribute strategically to global clinical research programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clinical trial reports using tools such as SAS, J-Review, Cognos, SQL, and PL/SQL based on study requirements.

  • Manage and support clinical data collection, validation, processing, and reporting activities.

  • Lead Clinical EDC build and design activities in alignment with protocol and regulatory standards.

  • Perform clinical database programming and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and traceability.

  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex clinical data challenges, adapting existing methodologies where required.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including internal teams and client representatives.

  • Provide guidance on methods and procedures for new assignments and evolving project needs.

  • Manage small teams or lead work efforts as an individual contributor, depending on project structure.

  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

  • Support delivery schedules, including rotational shift requirements as per business needs.


Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong experience in Clinical Data Services and Clinical Reports Management.

  • Hands-on expertise with SAS, SQL, PL/SQL, J-Review, and Cognos.

  • Proficiency in Clinical EDC design and build.

  • Solid understanding of clinical trial data lifecycle and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to align team execution with strategic direction from senior leadership.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.


Experience & Qualifications

  • 7 to 11 years of relevant experience in clinical data management, clinical reporting, or related life sciences roles.

  • Prior experience in a Team Lead or Consultant capacity is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) is mandatory.
