Job Description:
IQVIA is seeking a dynamic Manager, Clinical Data Management to lead a team of data management professionals. This role involves oversight of clinical data deliverables, staff mentoring, operational planning, and strategic support across multiple clinical studies. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with deep knowledge of data management processes and the clinical development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production and quality of key data management deliverables: CRF/eCRF design, database setup, validation programming, and data management plans.

  • Provide technical solutions and guidance to internal and external stakeholders for process improvement and problem resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, project scopes, and work instructions.

  • Identify training needs, mentor team members, and support their professional development.

  • Hold bi-monthly meetings with direct reports to review timelines, risks, utilization rates, training status, and individual development.

  • Implement employee engagement and retention strategies to foster global team consistency.

  • Collaborate with project leads to manage resourcing, peak workload forecasting, and staffing needs.

  • Ensure effective communication between leadership and delivery teams, including during team absences or transitions.

  • Participate in Bid Defenses, Kick-Off Meetings (KOMs), RFIs, and budget discussions.

  • Support audits and inspections, ensuring staff preparedness and alignment with quality standards.

  • Monitor and manage project financials, including forecasting, burn rate, and out-of-scope recognition.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, Mathematical Sciences, or Nursing.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in clinical data management, including people management experience.

  • Advanced understanding of data management systems, clinical trial processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, project planning, and team motivation.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.

  • Excellent knowledge of project finance concepts such as EAC, forecasting, and burn rate.

  • Effective in coaching, conflict resolution, and matrix team facilitation.

  • Comfortable making informed decisions, seeking appropriate input, and communicating with clarity and confidence.
