Department Overview:

The Department of Uro-Oncology at TMC offers evidence-based treatment for all urological cancers and runs the largest superficial bladder cancer surveillance program in the region. The department is well-equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic options, including advanced robotic surgery programs, laparoscopic equipment, and excellent theatre facilities. It is supported by Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Radiology, and other departments.

Position Overview:

Tata Medical Center invites applications for Clinical Associate positions in the Urological Surgery department. The role is ideal for individuals keen to pursue a career in urology, focusing on multidisciplinary cancer care. The Clinical Associate will engage in both outpatient and inpatient care, assisting in surgeries, and gaining significant exposure to various urological procedures, including robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical: Manage outpatient and inpatient clinical services, assess new and review patients, and assist in surgeries.
  • Academic: Participate in audits, case presentations, seminars, and multidisciplinary meetings. Present at national/international meetings.
  • Research: Engage in ongoing national research projects and contribute to further research initiatives in urology.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Essential: MCH/DNB in Urology.
  • Attitude: Keen to learn with a focus on quality medical care.

Rotations and Work Schema:

  • The Clinical Associate will chronicle their operative and academic exposure in a diary and participate in structured rotations across various areas of urology.

Opportunities for Career Advancement:

  • Clinical Associates will be closely monitored through structured assessments. Based on their academic performance, they may be considered for further advancement within the institution or placements in other centers in India or abroad.

Duration and Remuneration:

  • Duration: 1 year, extendable up to another year based on experience and requirements.
