Position Overview

The Chemical Packaging Operator 1 – 3rd Shift will be responsible for manually and semi-automatically portioning chemicals into containers using appropriate safety equipment and protocols. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and operational excellence.

📌 Shift Timing: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
⚠️ Note: This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.


Key Responsibilities

Packaging Operations

  • Portion chemicals into containers using manual and semi-automatic equipment.

  • Verify process orders, lot numbers, and equipment calibration.

  • Obtain appropriate containers, bulk, and packaging components.

  • Operate powered pallet and drum movers.

  • Pull and prepare customer and/or quality control samples.

  • Accurately document all data in compliance with GDP standards.

  • Complete process paperwork, tray tags, and production logs.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

  • Assemble, disassemble, and clean dispensing equipment per safety protocols.

  • Clean tools, utensils, hoods, and workstations as per chemical-specific requirements.

  • Maintain equipment and safety tools in proper working order.

  • Follow 5S standards for maintaining clean and organized work areas.

Safety & Compliance

  • Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, and safety shoes.

  • Work safely around moving mechanical parts and in varied environmental conditions (wet, humid, hot, or cold).

  • Immediately report any conditions that could compromise safety or product quality.

  • Support packaging operations by assisting weighers and moving material.


Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Work in wet, humid, hot, or cold environments.

  • Regular use of PPE for chemical handling and safety.


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Basic math skills, including the metric system.

  • Willingness to learn SOPs/UOPs, cleaning protocols, and safety practices.

  • Ability to use safety and semi-automated equipment.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


Compensation & Benefits

💰 Pay Range: $20.00 – $32.00 per hour

  • Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
