Position Overview:
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Business Manager or Business Administrator to support the Division of Hematology and Oncology. This role involves managing the financial, administrative, and operational activities of the division, with a focus on income generation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating budget preparation, monitoring grants and contracts, determining purchasing priorities, managing personnel functions, and potentially supervising staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the financial, administrative, and operational activities of the division.
  • Coordinate budget preparation and monitor grants and contracts.
  • Make recommendations for major capital expenditures.
  • Coordinate personnel functions, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Perform additional duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.

  • Three (3) years of financial and administrative experience.

    OR

  • Business Administrator: Three (3) years of financial and administrative experience, including one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Office environment with no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
