Job Overview
Johnson & Johnson is hiring an Assistant Manager – Professional Education to drive the design and execution of medical education strategies for healthcare professionals (HCPs) across India. This role focuses on delivering high-impact educational programs for the Joint Reconstruction (Knee), Robotics, and Sports Medicine portfolio, enabling clinicians to adopt advanced technologies and improve patient outcomes.

  • Location: Mumbai, India (Field-Based Role)

  • Territory: Pan India

Key Responsibilities

Professional Education Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement professional education strategies aligned with business and clinical objectives

  • Design learning continuums and structured training programs for healthcare professionals

  • Execute education initiatives for Knee, Robotics, and Sports Medicine portfolios

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align education strategies

Program Development & Content Creation

  • Design and develop customized training programs in collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and business teams

  • Create engaging learning content using digital and hybrid education models

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) training strategies, ensuring safe and effective product usage

Digital & Innovative Learning Solutions

  • Leverage digital tools such as virtual learning platforms, VR-based education, and online modules

  • Utilize platforms like J&J Institute and advanced digital ecosystems to enhance HCP training

  • Drive adoption of innovative learning technologies to improve engagement and outcomes

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Engage with external stakeholders including doctors, surgeons, and KOLs

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Franchise Leadership

  • Build and manage partnerships with education providers and institutions

Program Delivery & Impact Measurement

  • Ensure seamless execution of training programs across regions

  • Monitor effectiveness of education initiatives and optimize based on feedback and outcomes

  • Align training programs with evolving clinical practices and market needs

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of medical education and healthcare training environments

  • Experience in program management and execution of large-scale education initiatives

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate business needs into education solutions

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to work in a field-based, dynamic environment

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Knowledge of Medical Affairs and professional education frameworks

  • Experience with digital learning tools, virtual platforms, and hybrid education models

  • Familiarity with orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, or medical devices (preferred)

  • Exposure to brand marketing, sales enablement, and training development

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or related field

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: 4–6 years of experience in medical education, medical affairs, or healthcare training

  • Freshers: Not eligible

  • Preferred: Experience in MedTech, orthopaedics, or medical device industry

  • Experience working with KOLs and healthcare professionals is highly desirable
