Role Overview:

As an Associate Promo Copy Editor at Medscape (a division of WebMD), you will review digital promotional materials targeted at healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client style guides and regulatory requirements. You will manage projects from manuscript to final HTML, collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Copyedit and proofread digital promotional content (emails, web pages, banners, media, learning modules).

  • Ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and pharma brand/editorial style adherence.

  • Maintain consistency of style, graphics, design, and layout.

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Collaborate with Medical Writers, Designers, Web Developers, Project Managers, and Account Managers.

  • Manage workload independently and prioritize effectively.

  • Support senior staff on assigned accounts when required.


Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a medicine/health-related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 1–2 years editorial experience, ideally in:

    • Medical communications agencies

    • Pharmaceutical companies

    • Pharmaceutical advertising agencies

    • Web/digital content environments

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.

  • Digital editing expertise.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English (required).

  • Professional medical communications proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic (preferred).

Other Skills:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Familiarity with ABPI and EMA regulations (preferred).
