About the Role

Amgen is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Scientific Communications to support end-to-end project management across publications, medical content, and congress deliverables. This role ensures quality, compliance, and timely execution of scientific communication initiatives while collaborating with global and cross-functional partners.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Scientific Communications – India, and plays a critical role in enabling effective scientific content delivery aligned with Amgen’s global standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complete project workflows including timelines, dependencies, scope, and deliverables for publications, medical content, and congress-related projects.

  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, document decisions, track action items, and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Contribute to dashboards and reporting tools to assess data quality, impact, KPIs, and compliance.

  • Coordinate planning and execution of scientific congress deliverables based on established processes.

  • Support publication operations and collaborate with US-based publication planners and SMEs.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation improvements, including participation in UAT and training for new tools.

  • Maintain alignment with Amgen SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders across global teams.


Qualifications & Experience Required

Educational Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, MBA, or related field
    OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, MBA, or related field with a minimum of 1.5 years of relevant industry experience
    OR

  • Associate’s degree with 3 years of directly related experience

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of project management experience in a regulated, compliance-focused environment.

  • Experience in publications, scientific writing, or scientific communications workflows.

  • Familiarity with biotech platforms such as Salesforce and Veeva Vault.

  • Understanding of publication submission processes, congress deliverables, and scientific communications tools.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Miro, and project management applications such as MS Planner.

  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled workflows, Power Platform, low/no-code tools, or VBA for process optimization.

  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead meetings, summarize outcomes, and provide clear status updates.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across time zones in a matrixed global environment.
