Job Description:
THE POSITION:
This role supports project teams in obtaining optimal reimbursement for client products. The core responsibilities include contributing to the development of project deliverables by leveraging clinical, economic, and humanistic evidence to demonstrate the value of treatments to Canadian payers. The Associate Manager will assist project leads in executing national, provincial, and private payer strategic market access plans to achieve timely reimbursement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver excellent business results through:

  • Supporting submissions to Canada’s Drug Agency L’Agence des medicaments du Canada (CDA-AMC), Institut National d'Excellence en Santé et Services Sociaux (INESSS), Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), provincial agencies, and private payers by:

    • Conducting background research and critically appraising relevant literature.

    • Developing submission dossier components such as clinical summaries, budget impact models, and pricing analysis.

    • Preparing submission documents and administrative templates for HTA review bodies.

  • Developing tools for negotiation with the pCPA and Product Listing Agreements (PLAs).

  • Preparing draft slide decks for landscape reviews and advisory boards.

  • Assisting project leads by participating in weekly client check-in calls and preparing agendas and minutes.

  • Leading defined scope projects, such as private payer submissions, biosimilar submissions, and targeted landscape reviews.

  • Mentoring associates in submission setup, compilation requirements, and submission processes.

  • Monitoring and analyzing the Canadian access and reimbursement landscape to provide client updates.

  • Contributing to research efforts on pharmaceutical policy in Canada.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel: Occasional travel for client and team meetings.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, business hours 9 am - 5 pm EST, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: University degree (Master’s is an asset) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, economics, or pharmacy.

  • Experience/Training:

    • Strong multitasking, organization, and project management skills.

    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

    • Business-level English proficiency is required; French is an asset.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Competence in core activities required for Canadian HTA, private payer, and provincial submissions.

  • Understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape and pharmaceutical market access.

  • Relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry market access experience is an asset.

Target Salary: $76,000 CAD (applicable within Canada). Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
