Job Summary:

Novartis Healthcare is hiring an Associate Expert in Science & Technology for its R&D division in Hyderabad, India. This role focuses on planning, performing, and documenting scientific experiments and processes to support the development and timely delivery of drug products and substances. The candidate will work in collaboration with a multifunctional global team to drive innovations in drug formulation, process improvement, and manufacturing procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform scientific experiments and pilot plant processes for drug development projects.

  • Design and manage experiments for low-complexity products under supervision.

  • Generate, interpret, and report scientific data, optimizing existing lab and plant methods.

  • Prepare scientific documentation, lab procedures, reports, and SOPs.

  • Transfer procedures to pilot plants or production, including troubleshooting and process steering.

  • Maintain adherence to quality, GMP, GDevP, data integrity, and risk management standards.

  • Execute technology transfer and validation processes under supervision.

  • Collaborate effectively within the department and with cross-functional teams and sites.

  • Manage laboratory inventory, maintain equipment, and ensure qualification and calibration compliance.

  • Address and resolve technical problems, deviations, and unexpected results efficiently.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Science, or related technical field.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, process simulation, SOPs, and manufacturing processes.

  • Proficient in materials science and laboratory best practices.

  • Understanding of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

  • Ability to collaborate across boundaries and manage operations execution.

  • Adherence to quality, safety, and information security standards.
