Associate Healthcare Community Contracting

Location: Hyderabad, India

Job Overview

The Associate Healthcare Community Contracting role is responsible for supporting healthcare compliance-related contracting and payment operations involving members of the U.S. Healthcare Community. The position works closely with legal, sourcing, finance, accounts payable, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate contract management, compliance, and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating healthcare-related contracts, including:

    • Fee for Service Agreements

    • Consulting Agreements

    • Sponsorships

    • Donations

    • Exhibits and similar engagements

  • Maintain contract documentation and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

  • Coordinate contract execution, distribution, and record management.

  • Triage contract requests and route them to appropriate contract managers.

Payment & Financial Operations

  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and payments related to healthcare contracts.

  • Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and providers.

  • Ensure timely payment processing and compliance with payment terms.

  • Review and approve eligible payments or escalate issues for resolution.

  • Manage payment inquiries and provide support for payment-related requests.

  • Review expenses and invoices related to:

    • Fee for Service Arrangements (CARFs)

    • Advisory Board Arrangements (ABCARFs)

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, healthcare compliance policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support audits and compliance-related activities.

  • Review proposed arrangements through Amgen's healthcare compliance management system (C3).

  • Assist internal stakeholders with compliance and system-related queries.

  • Escalate contractual, compliance, and payment-related risks when necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Accounts Payable, and business teams to support contract and payment operations.

  • Foster strong working relationships across functions.

  • Ensure effective communication and issue resolution among stakeholders.

Documentation & Administrative Support

  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal and contractual documents.

  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.

  • Facilitate legal review processes and contract approvals.

  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree.

  • 3–5 years of experience in:

    • Contract Management

    • Paralegal Operations

    • Financial Accounting

    • Resource Management

    • Compliance Operations

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of contract management processes.

  • Familiarity with SAP and related business applications.

  • Knowledge of contractual language and legal terminology.

  • Basic understanding of:

    • Purchasing processes

    • Supply chain operations

    • Healthcare regulations

    • Contracting legal principles

    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
