Compensation:

  • Anticipated wage: $145,500 - $213,400

  • Actual compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.


Role Overview:
The Associate Director - MSL will focus on Hematologic Malignancies and support Scientific Experts (SEs) by providing deep therapeutic knowledge and facilitating scientific exchanges. This role involves gathering feedback from SEs to guide Lilly’s research and inform the Oncology Business Unit's strategy.


Responsibilities:

1. Building Relationships with External Clients:

  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with SEs, educators, and investigators.

  • Serve as a resource for health care professionals by providing in-depth disease state and product information.

  • Connect SEs with internal Lilly resources when appropriate.

  • Report clinical insights and unanswered questions to internal teams.

2. Scientific Knowledge and Communication:

  • Maintain advanced technical expertise in hematologic malignancies.

  • Engage in continuous learning through scientific meetings and literature searches.

  • Share relevant insights with peers to ensure collective learning.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries using peer-reviewed sources and publications.

3. Administrative and Procedural Compliance:

  • Utilize approved resources to fulfill administrative and legal requirements.

  • Proficiently manage VEEVA, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, PubMed, and expense reports.

  • Maintain compliance with documentation standards and procedures.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health sciences (e.g., RN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years of clinical or medical information experience in oncology.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Clinical oncology experience, particularly in malignant hematology and radioligand/theranostics.

  • Strong scientific knowledge and intellectual curiosity.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer needs for complex information.

  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to network effectively and build professional relationships.

  • Experience in a field-based environment is highly valued.


Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 60% overnight travel within the assigned geography.

  • Work 4 to 6 weekends per year.

  • Candidate should be geographically located near a major airport.
