About the Role

Novartis is seeking a results-driven Associate Director – Evidence Generation to lead the design, execution, and delivery of non-interventional studies (NIS) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) programs. Based in Hyderabad, this role is pivotal in shaping evidence strategies that drive global healthcare decisions, patient access, and clinical adoption of Novartis medicines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, advisory boards, and patient groups, to generate impactful, fit-for-purpose evidence. This role offers the opportunity to innovate with emerging methodologies and technologies, influencing evidence generation across multiple therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities

Evidence Strategy & Study Leadership

  • Lead design and execution of non-interventional studies aligned with Integrated Evidence Plans.

  • Develop study concepts, protocols, reports, and contribute to final analyses and publications.

  • Ensure scientific rigor and relevance in study design, data interpretation, and overall evidence strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Engage with global stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, advisory boards, and patient advocacy groups.

  • Represent Novartis in external collaborations and co-chair steering committees for studies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative evidence solutions.

Innovation & Methodology Advancement

  • Support adoption of novel evidence generation methodologies and digital technologies.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in RWE and NIS to enhance organizational capabilities.

  • Translate complex scientific findings into actionable insights for global decision-making.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, academic research, or healthcare with focus on evidence generation.

  • Strong expertise in non-interventional study design and real-world evidence methodologies.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse internal and external audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, global matrix environments.

  • Excellent collaboration, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • Prior experience in leading multi-stakeholder evidence programs or international research collaborations.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and access considerations for global healthcare systems.

  • Track record of implementing innovative approaches to evidence generation across therapeutic areas.
