Role Overview

The Associate Director, Change Management leads organizational change initiatives, guiding enterprise-wide transformations in processes, systems, technology, roles, and structures. This strategic leadership role ensures effective adoption, employee engagement, and proficiency in change programs while coaching teams to deliver measurable results.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, operational expertise, and exceptional communication skills to drive large-scale organizational change across complex, global projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Change Management Office (CMO), ensuring methodology, best practices, tools, and frameworks are consistently applied.

  • Develop and execute change management strategies for multiple internal and external projects, including readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and reinforcement plans.

  • Provide consultation and coaching to project teams, leaders, and CMO staff on change adoption and employee engagement.

  • Drive adoption, utilization, and proficiency of change initiatives using measurable metrics.

  • Ensure alignment with corporate communications, delivering clear messaging and impactful communication strategies for employees and leadership.

  • Lead line management responsibilities for direct and indirect reports, including recruitment, performance management, professional development, and succession planning.

  • Support continuous process improvement programs to enhance operational effectiveness and embed a culture of positive change.

  • Track and report progress, providing insight into project adoption, risks, and mitigation strategies.


Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in organizational change management, communications, or transformational programs within corporate or biopharmaceutical settings.

  • Demonstrated success leading end-to-end transformational change initiatives on large-scale projects.

  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and organizational impact.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and lifecycle; experience in CRO or pharmaceutical environments preferred.

  • Prosci® ADKAR experience and certification is strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships across all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MS Project, Visio, and graphics programs is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in training design and delivery, stakeholder coaching, and employee engagement programs.

  • Background in corporate project management or leading global change initiatives.

  • Ability to drive measurable adoption, utilization, and proficiency outcomes.
