The Associate Clinical Programmer is an entry-level individual contributor within the Biostatistics and Clinical Programming team. This role supports clinical data analyses, SDTM-compliant data submissions, and reporting activities, while following departmental standards, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
You will gain hands-on experience in clinical programming, data manipulation, and reporting, while contributing to process improvement and innovation initiatives within the department.
Develop, execute, and validate programs to support clinical analysis and reporting activities.
Complete low-complexity trial programming activities with high quality and adherence to timelines.
Support SDTM-compliant data submissions and creation of non-standard data packages.
Perform quality control and verification of datasets and program outputs.
Review project documentation, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with departmental standards.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Management, Medical Monitoring, and Clinical Operations.
Support data cleaning and reporting activities, including edit checks, data listings, and visualizations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, training requirements, time reporting, and operational processes.
Contribute to innovation and process improvement projects within the programming function.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Public Health, or related scientific field.
Basic knowledge of data structures and programming languages relevant to clinical data processing (SAS preferred, R/Python acceptable).
Understanding of programming processes, methods, and concepts in clinical research.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Experience in clinical or statistical programming in pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
Familiarity with CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM), data cleaning processes, and clinical trial datasets.
Knowledge of GCP, data privacy standards, and research ethics.
Analytical reasoning, data visualization, and report writing skills.
