🧭 Summary

The Analyst – Patient Oriented Programs (POP) is responsible for managing end-to-end Patient Oriented Programs in alignment with applicable processes, quality standards, and compliance requirements. This role ensures ethical execution under the Doing Business Ethically (DBE) framework and collaborates cross-functionally to drive program success.


⚙️ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Program Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end POP process on behalf of the Business Owner (BO) in accordance with DBE policy and POP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders (POP Champion, Procurement, Legal, Patient Safety, Compliance, Quality Assurance) to create and maintain POP documentation.

  • Obtain necessary approvals for timely initiation and conduct of POPs.

  • Manage External Service Providers (ESP) compliance checks prior to fieldwork initiation.

🔹 Compliance & Monitoring

  • Maintain program details in the POPsys database throughout POP lifecycle.

  • Track critical milestones such as:

    • First Participant First Contact (FPFC)

    • Last Participant Last Contact (LPLC)

    • Adverse Event Reconciliation (AER)

    • Periodic Reviews and Closure Activities

  • Ensure all monitoring activities are completed with no gaps before closure in POPsys.

  • Maintain all POP documentation in the POP repository.

🔹 Quality & Risk Management

  • Record and manage identified quality issues in the Quality Issue (QI) Management Tool.

  • Conduct investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  • Escalate findings promptly and manage assigned projects effectively.

🔹 Knowledge Transfer & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Ensure proper handover of responsibilities during role transitions or planned leaves.

  • Collaborate closely with the POP Champion for alignment.

  • Seek feedback from stakeholders and continuously improve processes based on suggestions.


🎓 Essential Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry within one or more of the following:

    • Clinical

    • Pharmacovigilance (PV)

    • Medical/Regulatory Affairs

    • Pharma Compliance or Commercial Framework

  • Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements and pharma industry policies.

  • Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences, organizational levels, and local/global teams.


🎓 Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Security, Criminal Justice, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, or related field.

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred.
