Role Summary

The Trainer is responsible for managing onboarding, training delivery, skill development, and continuous learning initiatives within the department. The role supports new joiner integration, process training, quality improvement initiatives, training documentation, root cause analysis, CAPA development, and performance enhancement programs while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Training & Onboarding

  • Deliver training programs for new joiners and departmental employees.

  • Conduct Phase 1 onboarding and training sessions for new hires.

  • Monitor and report new joiner training progress.

  • Complete onboarding checklists and ensure smooth employee integration.

  • Develop, maintain, and update team training plans.

  • Conduct periodic refresher and remediation training sessions based on performance trends and quality findings.

  • Support the Lead Trainer in planning, coordinating, and managing departmental training activities.

Coaching & Mentorship

  • Mentor, coach, and support junior team members, trainers, and new employees.

  • Monitor trainee performance and provide visibility into development progress.

  • Facilitate continuous learning and professional development initiatives.

  • Assist employees in improving technical and process-related competencies.

Process Improvement & Quality Management

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate implementation of revised processes, procedures, and training updates.

  • Conduct investigations related to quality events and operational issues.

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.

  • Support quality initiatives and compliance activities across the department.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

  • Complete mandatory training requirements within established timelines.

  • Ensure assigned project-related documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Review, maintain, and update department-controlled documents.

  • Maintain training records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Quality Control & Reporting

  • Perform Quality Control (QC) reviews of departmental documents and training materials.

  • Conduct peer reviews when required.

  • Monitor, track, and report operational and training metrics.

  • Prepare training performance reports and provide data to management as requested.

  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of training, quality, or operational issues.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective training delivery and documentation management.

  • Act as a departmental liaison for cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinate system access, shared folders, tools, and portal permissions for new joiners.

  • Support communication between trainers, management, and operational teams.

Technical Training Support

  • Deliver training on departmental systems, software, and technical tools.

  • Ensure employees are proficient in operational platforms and business applications.

  • Support adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Experience in training, clinical operations, project management support, quality management, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant industry.

  • Experience in training, onboarding, quality management, process improvement, or clinical operations environments.
