Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Research Associate to join our Synthesis Department at Jubilant Biosys in Greater Noida. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or those with minimal experience to work in a dynamic and research-driven environment, contributing to the discovery of novel chemical entities for drug development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize, purify, and characterize chemical intermediates for drug discovery.
  • Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities.
  • Collaborate with team members to advance chemistry projects and achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic organic chemistry principles and mechanisms.
  • Apply knowledge of Name Reactions and functional group transformations.
  • Perform work involving molarity, normality, and equivalency calculations.
  • Execute thin-layer chromatography, column purification, and extraction techniques.
  • Analyze compounds using techniques such as NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety practices and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate scientific findings effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Person Profile:

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field.
  • Alternatively, M. Pharma (specialized in Organic Synthesis).

Experience:

  • 0-1 year of project experience in a relevant field.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong foundation in organic chemistry and mechanism-based understanding.
  • Practical experience with laboratory techniques (e.g., chromatography, purification, and extraction).
  • Familiarity with instrumental techniques such as NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry.
  • Good communication skills, both scientifically and interpersonally.
  • A keen interest in working in a research-focused, dynamic team environment.
