Job Description:

Role Overview:

The Trainee - Medical Billing Analyst will be responsible for learning and executing day-to-day tasks related to medical billing processes, including insurance claims, denial management, and customer service. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on training and build foundational knowledge in medical billing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training and Learning:

    • Actively participate in structured training programs to understand medical billing workflows and industry standards.
    • Develop proficiency in tools and software used for medical billing and claims processing.
  2. Claims Management:

    • Assist in preparing, submitting, and following up on insurance claims.
    • Learn to identify and resolve issues related to claim rejections and denials.
  3. Denial Management:

    • Analyze denial reports and understand reasons for claim rejections.
    • Collaborate with the team to resolve and resubmit claims.
  4. Documentation:

    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of billing activities.
    • Maintain and update production logs and status reports.
  5. Compliance:

    • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure all billing processes comply with client and regulatory guidelines.
  6. Support Functions:

    • Respond to queries from insurance carriers and internal teams.
    • Collaborate with peers and supervisors to achieve daily and monthly targets.

Job Specification:

Education:

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferred backgrounds include Life Sciences, Commerce, or Healthcare).

Experience:

  • 0–1 year of experience; freshers are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
