About the Team – Antibody Development

The Antibody Team focuses on engineering and developing high-quality, specific antibodies for research and diagnostic applications.
Core team activities include:

  • Antibody design, purification, conjugation, and testing

  • Development of reagent-grade antibodies for immunoassay applications

  • Creation of product-specific information to promote research use


Role Overview

As Scientist I, Molecular Biology, you will be an integral member of the antibody development team, contributing to the performance and specificity of antibody products using innovative molecular biology methods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute molecular biology experiments with precision to achieve project goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records in laboratory notebooks and data sheets.

  • Stay updated with current research and literature in antibody development and molecular biology.

  • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data (written and oral formats).

  • Actively participate in team discussions and meetings.

  • Ensure attention to detail, quality, and adherence to project timelines.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree (0–3 years of experience) or Fresh Ph.D. (submitted within the last year) in:

    • Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related disciplines

Technical Expertise

  • Strong background in molecular biology, including:

    • Nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, and RNA handling

    • Use of molecular biology software (e.g., SnapGene, CLC Workbench, Geneious)

    • Bioinformatics tools: BLAST, sequence alignment, codon optimization, primer design

  • Hands-on experience in:

    • Protein purification, immunoassays (ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry)

    • Cell culture techniques and antibody conjugation (preferred)

  • Desirable knowledge in:

    • Antibody development platforms

    • Single-cell molecular biology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), or display technologies

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism)

  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced research environment


Work Environment

  • Laboratory setting with exposure to:

    • Fluctuating temperatures (cold rooms/freezers: -22°F / -6°C)

    • Strong odors (chemicals, biological materials) and loud equipment noise

    • Hazardous/toxic materials requiring PPE (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, earplugs, etc.)

  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards
