Job Description

As a System Specialist I – PV Help Desk, you will provide technical support and ensure the accuracy of critical safety data within GSK’s Safety Pharmacovigilance (PV) systems. You will maintain system data integrity, handle IT support requests, and provide guidance to team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Triaging and routing tickets worldwide to the appropriate resolving team.

  • Resolving IT-related tickets including access management, system support, and data requests.

  • Supporting Incident and Service Request Management for PV Suite applications such as:

    • OASIS (Argus, LAM, Argus J)

    • Argus Admin Tool

    • PVLite

    • OASIS Reports (Wizards and Custom Reports)

    • CSP, MARS, DST, Safety eHUB, Axway, CVW

  • Maintaining and quality checking OASIS Package Configuration Specification (PCS) spreadsheets for business configuration updates, including:

    • Clinical studies

    • Code lists

    • Reporting rules

    • Licenses

    • Product families and products

    • System and other configurations

  • Communicating planned application downtimes to stakeholders.

  • Supporting ad hoc SQL queries under supervision.

  • Updating relevant documents to reflect changes in PV suite applications.

  • Providing expertise to team members across shifts.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or medically related field preferred.

  • 4–9 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in clinical development, pharmacovigilance, or information management, or equivalent experience.


Experience & Skills

  • Strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • Analytical and logical thinking, including:

    • SQL knowledge

    • Requirement documentation based on end-user input

    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) understanding

  • Flexible working in shifts.

  • Basic knowledge of medical and drug terminology.

  • Data querying and reporting skills for safety databases.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.

  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Customer-focused, quick learner, adaptable to process changes.
