Position Overview

The role is responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing the ratio of value-added activities across production and supply chain processes. The position requires accountability for processes, personnel, safety, compliance, and meeting or exceeding client requirements within the operational area.

Reports to: Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of business, technical support, or production teams (5–30+ employees)

  • Set priorities and coordinate work activities for up to 2+ months in advance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business plans

  • Collaborate with support functions to ensure operational efficiency

  • Schedule employees and manage workload for the operational area

  • Review and approve GMP documentation while ensuring safety and quality compliance

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Hire, train, motivate, develop, and evaluate staff; take corrective actions as needed

  • Communicate policies, decisions, and performance expectations effectively to personnel


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading, talking, writing, and computer use

  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping

  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs

  • Must comply with EHS responsibilities and operate in HVAC-controlled and cleanroom environments as needed


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • GMP experience preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Knowledge of cGMP, ICH, FDA, EMA regulations/guidelines

  • Ability to analyze and interpret cross-disciplinary data

  • Experience leading difficult discussions and achieving resolutions

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Behavioral Skills:

  • Persuasive, professional negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Understanding of internal and external stakeholder requirements

  • Ability to balance competing priorities fairly

Leadership Skills:

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge to lead projects and team initiatives

  • Plan and allocate resources effectively

  • Identify obstacles and implement contingency plans

  • Track milestones and manage team progress toward objectives
