Role Overview

The Statistician Internship is designed to provide students with professional, hands-on experience in applying statistical and analytical methods in a STEM environment. This internship supports Abbott’s mission through real-world data analysis, technical investigations, and contributions to new machine, material, and process introductions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct real-time data analysis to support business needs.
  • Assist in technical investigations and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to designing experiments and analyzing data to drive decision-making.
  • Present and communicate statistical findings effectively to various teams.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related fields.
  • Striving for a 2:1 grade or higher in your degree course.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and innovative thinking.
  • Passionate about STEM and eager to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexible to be based in Donegal for a 9- or 12-month placement starting in 2024.
