Senior Statistical Programmer

Job Overview:
IQVIA is hiring a Senior Statistical Programmer to provide expert-level programming solutions across complex clinical trials. This role demands both leadership and hands-on technical delivery, focusing on statistical tables, listings, figures, and analysis datasets that support data-driven decision-making in clinical development. The candidate will contribute to programming strategy, oversee integration efforts, and drive innovation in process methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead programming tasks for complex clinical studies including:
Statistical tables, listings, and figures (TLFs)
Analysis datasets (ADaM/derived datasets)
Data transfers and quality checks
Plan and implement integration of data from multiple studies or sources.
Develop and maintain comprehensive programming documentation: specifications, plans, validation outputs.
Act as an internal consultant to address technical or strategic programming challenges.
Lead programming process improvement projects including macro development, automation, and validation.
Serve as statistical programming team lead for individual complex studies or study portfolios.
Monitor project scope, budget, resource allocation, and timelines.
Mentor junior programmers and provide advanced training in SAS and clinical programming standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (8+ years’ experience) or Master’s degree (7+ years) in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
Advanced proficiency in Base SAS, SAS Macro Language, SAS Graph
Deep understanding of statistical programming and clinical development workflows
Knowledge of CDISC (SDTM, ADaM) standards preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and project management abilities
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in deliverables
Capable of managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Estimated Salary: ₹20,00,000 – ₹30,00,000 per annum (based on experience and skill level)
