Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sr. Scientist in Immunology to join our San Diego research team, with a primary focus on flow cytometry and immunology expertise. This role is open to freshers with strong academic training in biological sciences, immunology, or related fields. The successful candidate will support the immunology portfolio by providing technical expertise, training, and guidance on spectral flow cytometry instrumentation and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on expertise in flow cytometry, including spectral flow cytometry.

  • Design flow cytometry panels in collaboration with project scientists to meet experimental objectives.

  • Lead training and support for new and existing users, ensuring high-quality data acquisition and analysis.

  • Deliver solutions for flow cytometry and imaging needs to support immunology projects.

  • Collaborate across Lilly research sites, sharing key learnings, best practices, and innovative approaches.

  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies in immunology, flow cytometry, and imaging.

  • Maintain rigorous data quality, documentation, and adherence to research protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Immunology, or related field with strong laboratory research experience.

  • Fresher candidates with knowledge of immunology concepts and flow cytometry principles are encouraged to apply.

  • Understanding of spectral flow cytometry instrumentation and basic immunology techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience or academic exposure to imaging flow cytometers, confocal microscopy, high-content imagers, and fluorescent slide scanners.

  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for sharing experimental results.

  • Self-motivated with ability to adapt quickly to evolving research needs.

Additional Information:

  • Work Environment: Laboratory and office-based research setting.

  • Travel: Approximately 5–10%
