Job Description:

Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Research Associate I in Analytical Chemistry will be responsible for method development, purification, and routine analysis of samples using chromatographic instruments. The role focuses on analytical techniques, instrument troubleshooting, and method development to ensure the smooth operation of analytical tasks in drug discovery and development.

Key Accountabilities:

Method Development: Develop and optimize analytical methods for the characterization of samples using chromatographic techniques such as HPLC, Prep-HPLC, SFC, and Prep-SFC.
Routine Analysis: Independently handle routine analyses on relevant analytical instruments, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Instrument Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot issues with analytical instruments, ensuring equipment is calibrated and running smoothly.
Data Analysis: Analyze results from experiments, provide insights, and document findings in detailed reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including medicinal chemistry, biology, and other R&D teams, to support the drug discovery process.

Required Experience & Skills:

Experience: 1-6 years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry, with a focus on method development and sample purification using chromatographic instruments (e.g., HPLC, Prep-HPLC, SFC, Prep-SFC).
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using chromatographic instruments such as HPLC, Prep-HPLC, SFC, and Prep-SFC.
- Ability to handle routine analyses independently on respective instruments.
- Knowledge of instrumental techniques and associated software applications.
- Experience with method development on LCMS is desirable but not required.
Troubleshooting: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to analytical instruments.
Documentation & Reporting: Experience in preparing detailed reports and maintaining records for analytical experiments.

Education & Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
Certifications/Trainings:
- Additional certifications in chromatographic techniques or instrument handling are a plus.
