About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Lab Support Specialist to join our Field Operations team in Holly Springs.
You’ll play a critical role in maintaining smooth laboratory operations, supporting scientists, and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming shipments; scan packing slips and verify accuracy.

  • Collect glassware from labs and operate glasswash machines.

  • Handle lab waste collection and operate autoclave machines safely.

  • Manage customer interactions through email, phone, and in-person communication.

  • Collaborate with team members to propose and implement workflow improvements.

  • Maintain organization and safety standards by following site procedures and PPE requirements.

  • Monitor laboratory inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and timely replenishment.

  • Support internal partners and resolve operational issues efficiently.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.


Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in a customer-facing, warehouse, inventory control, or retail stocking role preferred

  • Experience using RF handheld scanners or mobile inventory systems

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Skills

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional and friendly tone

  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and teamwork

  • Ability to work independently in customer environments


Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Work primarily at customer sites with possible exposure to chemical-based allergens (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline).

  • Must wear required PPE such as lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.

  • Regularly lift 30–40 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequently use equipment such as pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and mobile cylinders (up to 100 lbs push/pull).

  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and manual handling tasks.

  • Work in temperature-varied environments (cold rooms, outdoor areas, etc.).

  • Availability for overtime when required.
