Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sr. Director in Immunology Translational Medicine to join our Translational Immunology team. This role offers freshers with strong academic backgrounds an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in biomarker research, translational strategies, and clinical-stage immunology programs. The successful candidate will contribute to understanding and advancing therapeutic approaches in autoimmune diseases while supporting discovery and clinical-stage research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute translational strategies across multiple immunology programs to support Lilly’s portfolio.

  • Collaborate actively with discovery and clinical teams to define translational immunology objectives and priorities.

  • Establish and maintain laboratory capabilities for biomarker research and translational assays.

  • Contribute to publication and communication strategies for biomarker findings at conferences and in scientific journals.

  • Support clinical program development through protocol and regulatory guidance on biomarker applications.

  • Identify and leverage internal and external resources, including academic, biotech, and CRO collaborations, to enhance biomarker strategies.

  • Facilitate precision medicine approaches, novel translational tools, and innovative technologies in drug discovery.

  • Mentor and develop early-career scientists and foster a collaborative team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.D. in Immunology, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.

  • Fresher candidates with strong academic research experience and interest in translational immunology are encouraged to apply.

  • Understanding of drug discovery and development lifecycle.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed team environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams or academic-industry collaborations.

  • Familiarity with high-content data, computational biology, or AI applications in translational medicine.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for large scientific forums.

  • Agility to adapt to evolving research priorities and deliver impactful results.

  • Travel: Approximately 20% travel may be required.
