Role Overview

The Specialty Care Advisor is a territory-focused pharmaceutical sales and scientific engagement professional responsible for driving sales growth, increasing therapy awareness, and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), hospitals, and institutional customers across Uttar Pradesh.

Unlike a traditional Medical Representative role, this position involves:

  • Specialty product promotion

  • Hospital account management

  • Scientific engagement with doctors

  • Hospital formulary inclusion

  • Institutional business development

  • Territory strategy execution

This is a field-based role with significant interaction with oncologists, specialists, pharmacists, and hospital decision-makers.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Territory Management

  • Achieve sales targets for the assigned territory.

  • Develop and execute territory business plans.

  • Identify growth opportunities within hospitals and healthcare institutions.

  • Expand product utilization across key accounts.

Customer Mapping & Account Management

Identify and prioritize:

  • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

  • Specialists

  • Oncologists

  • Hospital pharmacies

  • Purchase managers

  • Hospital administrators

Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Scientific Promotion

  • Promote disease awareness and therapy education.

  • Conduct scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.

  • Present clinical evidence supporting BMS products.

  • Organize educational programs and scientific meetings.

Hospital Formulary Inclusion

A critical responsibility involves:

  • Supporting formulary listing processes.

  • Engaging hospital committees.

  • Coordinating with pharmacy and procurement teams.

  • Facilitating institutional product access.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with:

  • Doctors

  • Pharmacists

  • Hospital Authorities

  • Distributors

  • Internal Medical Affairs Teams

  • Marketing Teams

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records.

  • Submit sales reports and activity reports on time.

  • Follow company compliance policies and ethical standards.

  • Ensure alignment with BMS values and business practices.

Training & Development

  • Participate in:

    • Cycle meetings

    • National Sales Meetings (NSM)

    • Product training sessions

    • Competitor analysis discussions

Continuously improve:

  • Product knowledge

Required Qualifications

Education

Minimum:

  • B.Pharm

  • Science Graduate

Preferred:
