Position Overview

BMS is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Specialty Care Advisor to drive sales growth and customer engagement across the assigned territory in Uttar Pradesh, based out of Lucknow.

The role focuses on developing strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, and institutional stakeholders while promoting therapy awareness and BMS products. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales objectives, executing marketing strategies, supporting formulary inclusion activities, and strengthening BMS's presence within the healthcare ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

Territory Sales Management

  • Achieve territory sales targets in line with organizational objectives.

  • Execute territory business plans and promotional strategies effectively.

  • Identify growth opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maximize business performance.


Customer & Account Mapping

  • Identify potential customers and key accounts within the territory.

  • Conduct strategic mapping of:

    • Physicians

    • Specialists

    • Hospitals

    • Healthcare Institutions

    • Key Decision Makers

  • Develop targeted engagement plans for high-potential customers and institutions.


Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with:

    • Doctors

    • Specialists

    • Pharmacists

    • Hospital Authorities

    • Purchase Managers

  • Conduct scientific discussions to increase awareness of:

    • Disease areas

    • Treatment options

    • Clinical evidence

    • Company products

  • Support HCP participation in scientific and educational initiatives.


Product Promotion & Market Development

  • Promote BMS products in accordance with approved marketing strategies.

  • Increase therapy area awareness among healthcare professionals.

  • Deliver scientific and product-related presentations.

  • Drive product adoption through evidence-based communication.


Scientific Meetings & Educational Programs

  • Organize and support:

    • Scientific Meetings

    • Medical Education Programs

    • Product Presentations

    • Healthcare Professional Engagement Activities

  • Enhance awareness of therapy areas and treatment approaches.

  • Strengthen BMS's scientific reputation within the territory.


Institutional & Hospital Management

  • Develop strong working relationships with:

  • Support hospital formulary inclusion processes.

  • Facilitate access to BMS products within healthcare institutions.

  • Identify opportunities for institutional business growth.


Distributor & Channel Management

  • Maintain effective relationships with distributors and channel partners.

  • Ensure product availability across the territory.

  • Monitor inventory and address supply-related issues proactively.

  • Support smooth product distribution and customer service.


Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of:

Required Qualifications

Education

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

    • Life Sciences

    • Science

Preferred

  • MBA (Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Management, or related discipline)


Language Requirements

  • English

  • Hindi

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages are required.


Required Experience

Mandatory

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
