Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist with 2 to 3 years of experience in healthcare products and medical coding. The role involves ensuring accurate coding of medical records, which is critical for data integrity, regulatory compliance, and supporting healthcare service improvement. The candidate will work in a hybrid model, mainly during day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate coding of medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to verify and clarify coding details for accuracy.
Analyze medical records and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
Maintain updated knowledge of coding standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
Support the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures.
Identify and resolve coding discrepancies to ensure correct billing and reimbursement.
Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency.
Assist in training and mentoring junior coding staff as needed.
Utilize healthcare software tools to efficiently input and manage coded data.
Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on coding activities and performance metrics.
Work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines and organizational goals.
Support the company’s mission by ensuring high-quality coding that enhances patient care and operational efficiency.
