๐ŸŽฏ Role Overview

The Affiliate Pharmacovigilance Associate is responsible for managing and reporting safety information, ensuring compliance with pharmacovigilance guidelines, and maintaining data accuracy within defined SLAs.
This position requires Spanish and English proficiency and strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles.


๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications & Profile

  • Education: Graduate in Pharmacy or Life Sciences

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in Pharmacovigilance or relevant clinical experience

  • Language Proficiency: Minimum B2 level in Spanish and English (spoken & written)


๐Ÿ’ก Key Responsibilities

๐Ÿ“ฅ Case Intake & Management

  • Receive/download safety information via multiple channels and handle inbound calls for safety reporting

  • Route information to appropriate departments (e.g., Medical Information, Quality Assurance)

  • Monitor mailboxes, perform triage for patient safety reports and emails

  • Acknowledge receipt of reports and maintain proper documentation and archival

๐Ÿงพ Data Entry & Quality

  • Enter safety data in front-end systems following triage criteria

  • Conduct case validity checks and prevent duplicate entries

  • Evaluate seriousness (initial and follow-up cases), dechallenge/rechallenge, and upgrade/downgrade case seriousness

  • Ensure data accuracy and clarification requests in case of discrepancies

  • Perform translation and back translation of safety information when needed

  • Anonymize/redact source documents and AE forms (as applicable)

๐Ÿ” Follow-up & Clarifications

  • Obtain reporter consent for follow-ups

  • Identify and follow up on missing information until case closure

  • Maintain email clarifications and document source data verification (SDV) discrepancies

๐Ÿง  Compliance & Process Excellence

  • Maintain customer data guidelines and complete tasks within SLA timelines

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives with project quality teams

  • Support audit readiness through accurate documentation and record-keeping

๐Ÿค Collaboration & Training

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information

  • Mentor/train new joiners when required

  • Complete all mandatory trainings and maintain training records
