Job Overview
Apollo Hospitals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Technician – Laboratory Medicine to join its advanced diagnostic services team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for experienced laboratory professionals who are passionate about delivering accurate diagnostic testing and supporting high-quality patient care.

The Senior Technician will be responsible for performing laboratory investigations, maintaining diagnostic equipment, ensuring quality control procedures, and supporting clinicians with reliable laboratory results. The position requires strong technical expertise in laboratory procedures along with a commitment to maintaining strict clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established clinical protocols and quality standards.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate test results.

Prepare samples, reagents, and laboratory materials required for testing procedures.

Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and quality assurance standards.

Monitor laboratory workflows and assist in maintaining efficient laboratory operations.

Validate test results and ensure proper documentation and reporting in laboratory information systems.

Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to laboratory instruments and testing procedures.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and quality control documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT/DMLT) or an equivalent qualification in Laboratory Sciences.

Experience Required
Minimum 3 to 6 years of professional experience working in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting, preferably within laboratory medicine or clinical diagnostics.

Required Skills and Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing methods.

Experience operating modern laboratory equipment and diagnostic systems.

Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance practices and safety standards.

Effective communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Ability to manage multiple laboratory tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
