Senior Statistical Programmer I – Remote (Taipei)

Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research, is hiring a Senior Statistical Programmer I for its strategic solutions biometrics portfolio. This remote position based in Taipei is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in pharmacometric programming using R and NONMEM. You will work on high-impact regulatory and submission-driven programming projects, ensuring inspection readiness and delivering high-quality outputs within global clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform programming and QC of NONMEM PK/PD datasets based on SDTM/ADaM datasets

  • QC outsourced NONMEM datasets and support pharmacometric standardization

  • Develop and test customized R packages for pharmacometric workflows

  • Participate in regulatory submission project preparation as per internal guidelines

  • Review data and requirements critically; identify gaps and propose solutions

  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams including Bioanalytics, Data Management, and Biostatistics

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, ICH-GCP, and regulatory requirements

  • Maintain training compliance and be inspection-ready at all times


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, life sciences, or IT (with R programming exposure)

  • Strong working knowledge of R programming

  • Familiarity with SDTM, ADaM, controlled terminology, and PK/PD principles

  • Experience with NONMEM dataset creation and quality control

  • Effective English communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset

  • Experience with pharmacometric programming standardization is a plus
