Senior Statistical Programmer I – Remote | ICON, India

Job Summary

ICON is hiring a Senior Statistical Programmer I to join our global clinical research organization. This is a remote role based in India, ideal for professionals with 4+ years of experience in SAS and R programming. You'll contribute to impactful clinical trials across therapeutic areas, leveraging your programming and domain expertise to support regulatory submissions and data reporting in line with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute statistical programming tasks using SAS and R under minimal supervision

  • Lead one study independently with oversight

  • Apply GCP, CDISC standards, and company-specific SOPs

  • Identify gaps in current practices and suggest improvements

  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of statistical programming deliverables

  • Adhere to evolving global pharmaceutical programming standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in statistical programming in clinical research

  • Proficiency in SAS and R programming languages

  • Ability to lead a study independently

  • Knowledge of CDISC (SDTM/ADaM), ICH-GCP guidelines

  • Familiarity with clinical trial data and regulatory submission formats

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
