Role Overview:

As a Senior Statistical Programmer I, you will play a key role in developing statistical programming solutions, particularly within Oncology projects. This position emphasizes advanced R programming and data visualization capabilities, with an opportunity to work on real-world data from industry-leading healthcare databases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply deep domain and programming expertise in Oncology-focused projects

  • Create interactive visualizations for Oncology-specific analyses using R Shiny

  • Identify and address programming best practice gaps, offering innovative solutions

  • Ensure programming deliverables are in alignment with industry and internal standards

  • Work with claims and Oncology databases such as Flatiron, COTA, Marketscan, and Optum

  • Perform advanced analyses including:

    • Line of Therapy algorithms

    • Survival analysis

    • Analyses using varied statistical models

  • Collaborate on defining and constructing tumor-specific treatment lines

  • Engage with datasets supporting patient cohort analyses and Real World Evidence (RWE) studies


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Expertise in R and SQL programming

  • Strong experience in R Shiny for Oncology data visualizations

  • Experience with Oncology and claims databases (Flatiron, COTA, Marketscan, Optum)

  • Familiarity with tumor-specific treatment pathways and statistical methodologies

  • Understanding of coding systems; experience in RW Code list creation is preferred

  • CDISC guidelines or Instant Health Data (IHD) experience preferred

  • Prior work on Analytic Datasets and patient cohort design is an advantage
