Job Summary:

ICON plc, a globally recognized leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Senior Statistical Programmer II. This position offers flexibility with both remote and on-site options across India including Bangalore, Chennai, Trivandrum, and Bengaluru. The role involves leading programming activities for clinical trials with a focus on CDISC ADaM datasets, TFLs, and advanced statistical programming using SAS.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams on assigned statistical programming projects.

  • Develop, maintain, and validate standard data structures and analysis software.

  • Design and implement reusable, well-documented, and user-friendly departmental macros.

  • Ensure compliance with procedures for program development, validation, and documentation.

  • Mentor and train statisticians/programmers to enhance their data analysis and programming skills.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in clinical statistical programming.

  • Expertise in CDISC ADaM standards for creating and validating datasets.

  • Proficiency in generating Tables, Listings, and Graphs (TFLs).

  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of a wide range of statistical technologies and tools (SAS expertise preferred).
