About the Role

The Senior Scientific Writer – HEVA is responsible for developing high-quality scientific and value-based communication materials that support evidence generation, market access, payer engagement, and reimbursement strategies. This role requires strong expertise in medical writing, health economics, real-world evidence, and publication standards.

You will collaborate closely with global HEVA, RWE, and scientific communication teams to prepare manuscripts, abstracts, posters, value dossiers, and slide decks aligned with global HEVA communication strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Value Communication

  • Develop HEVA communication deliverables including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and other evidence-based documents.

  • Ensure alignment with global HEVA strategy, Core Value Dossiers, US AMCP Dossiers, and product-specific value messages.

  • Maintain and update Core Value Decks with synthesized HEVA evidence for key products.

  • Identify opportunities to innovate HEVA communication formats to enhance relevance and impact for payer and access stakeholders.

Publication Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with publication SOPs, Good Publication Practice (GPP), and all internal standards.

  • Manage end-to-end publication processes in iEnvision (formerly Datavision/Matrix).

  • Support annual publication planning and regional implementation strategies.

Therapeutic Area & Scientific Expertise

  • Develop deep therapeutic area expertise relevant to the assigned portfolio.

  • Conduct publication-needs analyses and evidence mapping for scientific communication planning.

  • Create complex, high-quality HEVA publications and evidence documents.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with global/local HEVA, RWE, and scientific communication teams to develop region-specific deliverables.

  • Interact with healthcare professionals and external experts on scientific content.

  • Coordinate with approved vendors to ensure timely and compliant content development.

People & Project Leadership

  • Coach and review work from junior scientific writers.

  • Maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent communication quality.

  • Incorporate feedback to enhance content quality, processes, and training materials.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Economics, or allied scientific disciplines.

  • A medical degree is advantageous.

Experience

  • More than 4 years of experience in scientific writing, HEVA/HEOR communications, medical writing, or academic research.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, and value assessment methodologies.

  • Experience with publication tools such as iEnvision/Datavision.

  • Knowledge of GPP guidelines and publication ethics.

  • Ability to synthesize scientific data into clear, value-focused communication.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in global, cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
