Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientific Writer – Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) to support global healthcare and pharmaceutical initiatives through high-quality, evidence-based scientific communications. This role is critical in translating complex health economics, outcomes research, and value evidence into impactful publications that support access, reimbursement, and decision-making across global markets.
The position is based in Hyderabad, India, and offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio spanning specialty care, vaccines, general medicines, consumer healthcare, and R&D.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Writing and HEVA Communications
Develop high-quality HEVA communication deliverables including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and value communication materials aligned with global HEVA strategy.
Ensure consistency of scientific and value messaging across Core Value Dossiers, US AMCP Dossiers, and other regulatory or market access submissions.
Create and maintain Core Value Decks that provide up-to-date synthesis of critical HEVA evidence for key products.
Manage end-to-end publication workflows using iEnvision (Datavision/Matrix) or similar platforms.
Strategic and Operational Excellence
Maintain strict adherence to publication SOPs, compliance standards, and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines.
Support innovation in HEVA value communication approaches to enhance relevance and real-world impact.
Assist in publication needs assessment and execution of regional and global publication plans.
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned outputs.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with HEVA, Real World Evidence (RWE), Medical, and Scientific Communication teams at global and regional levels.
Liaise with healthcare professionals and subject-matter experts to support publication development.
Provide strategic input to internal and external stakeholders on HEVA communication planning.
Leadership and Mentorship
Coach and mentor junior scientific writers, including content review and capability development.
Act as a subject-matter expert for assigned therapeutic areas, building and maintaining domain expertise.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
Required Experience
4+ years of experience in scientific content creation within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical communications, HEOR, or academic environment.
Proven experience developing HEVA, health economics, outcomes research, or value-based publications.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting global pharmaceutical portfolios and cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience with publication planning, submission processes, and compliance frameworks.
Exposure to health economics, epidemiology, public health, or real-world evidence initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
Strong expertise in scientific writing, data interpretation, and value communication.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and compliance-focused mindset.
High proficiency in written and spoken English.
Educational Background
Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, health economics, or a related scientific discipline
OR
Medical degree with relevant HEVA or scientific communication experience.
