Key Responsibilities
Conduct organic synthesis of fluorescent dyes suitable for flow cytometry applications
Invent, synthesize, purify, and characterize novel fluorescent molecules for biological and cellular analysis
Evaluate physical, chemical, photophysical, and functional properties of dyes
Collaborate closely with reagent development and cross-functional research teams to align innovation with organizational needs
Independently plan and execute research projects, ensuring timely delivery of results
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present results internally and externally
Generate intellectual property filings supporting new technologies and applications
Maintain accurate experimental records, analyze data, and track research project plans
Stay current with scientific advancements by reviewing literature, monitoring competitive IP filings, and participating in technical forums and meetings
Required Qualifications & Experience
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field with minimum 2+ years of post-PhD research experience
OR
M.S. in Organic Chemistry or related discipline with minimum 7+ years of relevant industry or research experience
Strong expertise in organic synthesis and dye chemistry
Proven research productivity demonstrated through publications, presentations, or patents
Hands-on experience synthesizing and evaluating photophysical properties of fluorescent dyes
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional research teams
Strong analytical, documentation, and scientific communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multicolor flow cytometry
Knowledge of dye–antibody conjugation techniques
Familiarity with biological marker development for cellular analysis
