Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct organic synthesis of fluorescent dyes suitable for flow cytometry applications

  • Invent, synthesize, purify, and characterize novel fluorescent molecules for biological and cellular analysis

  • Evaluate physical, chemical, photophysical, and functional properties of dyes

  • Collaborate closely with reagent development and cross-functional research teams to align innovation with organizational needs

  • Independently plan and execute research projects, ensuring timely delivery of results

  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present results internally and externally

  • Generate intellectual property filings supporting new technologies and applications

  • Maintain accurate experimental records, analyze data, and track research project plans

  • Stay current with scientific advancements by reviewing literature, monitoring competitive IP filings, and participating in technical forums and meetings


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field with minimum 2+ years of post-PhD research experience
    OR

  • M.S. in Organic Chemistry or related discipline with minimum 7+ years of relevant industry or research experience

  • Strong expertise in organic synthesis and dye chemistry

  • Proven research productivity demonstrated through publications, presentations, or patents

  • Hands-on experience synthesizing and evaluating photophysical properties of fluorescent dyes

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional research teams

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and scientific communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry

  • Knowledge of dye–antibody conjugation techniques

  • Familiarity with biological marker development for cellular analysis
