Role Summary

The Senior Research Investigator is responsible for supporting translational medicine and bioinformatics programs through advanced analysis of biological, clinical, genomic, epigenomic, and multi-omics datasets. The role involves developing computational pipelines, applying statistical and machine learning methods, analyzing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, and generating clinically relevant insights that support drug discovery and translational research initiatives.

This position works closely with bioinformaticians, clinicians, translational scientists, laboratory teams, and external partners to evaluate biomarkers, assay performance, patient outcomes, and molecular signatures across oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease programs.

Key Responsibilities

Bioinformatics & Multi-Omics Analysis

  • Analyze and interpret:

    • Genomic Data

    • Transcriptomic Data

    • Proteomic Data

    • Epigenomic Data

    • Clinical Data

  • Integrate multi-modal datasets to identify biological and clinical insights.

  • Support translational medicine and biomarker discovery programs.

NGS Data Analysis

  • Analyze:

    • RNA Sequencing (RNA-Seq)

    • Whole Exome Sequencing (WES)

    • Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)

    • ctDNA Data

    • MRD (Minimal Residual Disease) Data

    • CRISPR Screening Data

  • Perform:

    • Variant Calling

    • Tumor Burden Analysis

    • Immune Cell Profiling

    • Molecular Characterization

Computational Pipeline Development

  • Develop and optimize pipelines using:

    • Python

    • R

    • Bash

    • AWS Cloud Infrastructure

  • Automate bioinformatics workflows for large-scale genomic studies.

  • Implement reproducible research practices.

Statistical Analysis & Machine Learning

  • Apply:

    • Advanced Statistical Methods

    • Machine Learning Models

    • Predictive Analytics

  • Identify associations between:

    • Gene Expression Profiles

    • Immune Biomarkers

    • Clinical Outcomes

    • Molecular Signatures

  • Support biomarker validation and assay development.

Cancer Genomics & Translational Research

  • Conduct analyses in:

    • Cardiovascular Diseases

  • Investigate:

  • Support translational biomarker strategies.

Assay Evaluation & Validation

  • Support development and validation of NGS assays.

  • Interpret assay quality control metrics.

Data Visualization & Reporting

  • Develop visualizations and dashboards for scientific interpretation.
