About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to support global pharmacovigilance (PV) operations within a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO). This role requires expertise in Oracle Argus Safety database configuration, maintenance, reporting, and system enhancement to support end-to-end PV activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with global safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert for daily configuration, maintenance, and administration of the Oracle Argus Safety database.
Ensure all activities comply with SOPs, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with PV business users to gather requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
Create custom and ad-hoc safety reports using built-in tools, SQL, and OBIEE while maintaining reporting accuracy and compliance.
Support the development, validation, and delivery of aggregate safety reports.
Assist during internal and external audits of the PV Safety database.
Provide programming and analytical support to project teams for safety data review and reporting activities.
Lead project initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Manage assigned tasks and deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.
Estimate programming effort and contribute to bidding or cost planning activities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Information Technology, or equivalent academic qualification.
Experience Required
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance systems, Oracle Argus Safety database administration, or PV analytics.
Experience in SQL, OBIEE reporting, aggregate report development, and safety system configuration is essential.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Oracle Argus Safety database functions and PV workflows.
Proficiency in SQL, OBIEE, and safety reporting tools.
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Experience participating in audits and managing change control processes.
