Senior Physician Assistant – OR, Robotics (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Summary:
UCLA Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Physician Assistant (PA) to join our surgical robotics team in the Operating Room (OR) in Los Angeles. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the Da Vinci robotic surgical system, supporting advanced surgical procedures across multiple specialties including urology, gynecology, thoracic, and cardio-thoracic surgery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in robotic surgical procedures across multiple specialties including urology, general surgery, gynecology, thoracic, and cardio-thoracic.

  • Set up and troubleshoot the Da Vinci robotic system and surgical instrumentation.

  • Place trocars and assist laparoscopically during procedures.

  • Collaborate with residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure optimal surgical care.

  • Serve as a liaison between the OR team and vendors; support video documentation and teaching efforts.

  • Facilitate operating room setup, turnover, and consent processes.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current California Physician Assistant license in good standing.

  • PA certification (NCCPA).

  • Proven experience in robotic surgery assistance using Da Vinci systems.

  • Strong understanding of laparoscopic and open surgical techniques.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work on-call, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.


Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range: $82.40 – $110.87
