Senior Medical & Scientific Advisor – LCMS (Remote, USA)

Job Summary

IQVIA Laboratories is seeking a Senior Medical & Scientific Advisor – LCMS to provide global scientific leadership across clinical testing and drug development initiatives. This remote, U.S.-based role will influence bioanalytical strategy, assay development, and scientific governance for global programs. The ideal candidate brings deep LCMS and immunoassay expertise, along with a solid background in regulated laboratory science.

This position plays a key role in advancing scientific and technical excellence within IQVIA’s global bioanalytical network, collaborating with clinical scientists, sponsors, and internal technical teams to accelerate innovation in clinical development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as global scientific point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

  • Guide assay development, validation, and transfer discussions

  • Align bioanalytical methods with study and regulatory requirements

  • Lead evaluations of emerging analytical technologies and methods

  • Participate in lab investigations and scientific governance activities

  • Provide scientific input for RFIs, RFPs, bid defenses, and proposals

  • Create and support client-facing scientific material and thought leadership

  • Represent IQVIA at conferences, webinars, and external meetings

  • Coordinate across Q2 Solutions labs and parent organizations


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in life sciences or related discipline (minimum)

  • M.S. or Ph.D. preferred

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or clinical research, including immunoassay

  • Expertise in LCMS and bioanalytical method development

  • Familiarity with GxP laboratory regulations and regulatory standards

  • Strong technical writing, research, and benchmarking capabilities

  • Effective communicator with experience in cross-functional collaboration

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs
