📝 Position Summary:

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is the field-based scientific and clinical expert responsible for:

  • Educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders

  • Building strategic relationships with community and academic opinion leaders (KOLs/OLs)

  • Supporting current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products in Solid Tumor Oncology

  • Driving medical and scientific discussions to gather actionable insights

  • Providing support for both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research

This role requires a high level of scientific acumen, deep knowledge of oncology, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit to help advance patient outcomes and innovation.


🎯 Key Responsibilities:

🔬 Scientific & Clinical Engagement

  • Serve as a scientific resource for KOLs and HCPs

  • Conduct tailored scientific discussions on solid tumor treatment landscape

  • Identify provider educational needs and deliver relevant scientific data

  • Respond to unsolicited research and clinical inquiries

🌎 Territory & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive territory strategic plan

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, academic centers, and community HCPs

  • Collect, synthesize, and share high-quality medical insights aligned with strategy

🧪 Research Support

  • Provide research support for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials

  • Collaborate with clinical operations, R&D, medical affairs, and cross-functional partners

📊 Internal Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, and global medical affairs

  • Complete all required administrative duties in a timely and compliant manner

  • Stay current on scientific literature, regulatory guidelines, and health compliance standards

🧠 Continuous Learning & Leadership

  • Participate in journal clubs, congresses, and internal training

  • Lead or contribute to strategic projects and performance development plans

  • Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration


🎓 Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate-level degree or equivalent (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA)

  • Post-graduate clinical or research experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of MSL experience or equivalent clinical, research, or industry background

  • Deep scientific acumen in oncology or related disciplines

  • U.S. Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%

  • Must reside in or near the assigned territory (Atlanta preferred)

Preferred:

  • Residency/fellowship training

  • Board certification (for clinical degrees)

  • Experience in Solid Tumor Oncology strongly preferred


💰 Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $137,000 – $235,750

  • Company Car: Eligible through Johnson & Johnson FLEET program

  • Performance Bonus: Eligible under performance-based compensation plan
