About the Role
We are seeking a highly scientific and field-oriented Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Haematology & Oncology to drive strategic medical engagement, scientific exchange, thought leader collaboration, and field medical excellence within the oncology and hematology therapeutic landscape. This role is ideal for experienced medical professionals with expertise in medical affairs, oncology scientific engagement, clinical research support, KOL management, pharmacovigilance, and field medical strategy.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and healthcare institutions while supporting medical strategy execution, clinical trial collaboration, scientific education, and patient-focused medical initiatives.

This opportunity is particularly suited for medical professionals passionate about oncology, hematology, scientific engagement, and pharmaceutical medical affairs leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & Thought Leader Management

  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and institutional stakeholders across the assigned territory.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific interactions focused on disease management, clinical evidence, therapeutic advances, and product-related medical discussions.
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific, product, clinical, and HEOR-related inquiries in a compliant, balanced, and evidence-based manner.
  • Engage stakeholders through multiple channels including in-person meetings, virtual scientific discussions, group presentations, and institutional engagements.

Field Medical Strategy Execution

  • Develop and execute territory-level Field Medical Plans aligned with therapeutic area objectives and broader country medical strategies.
  • Create targeted engagement strategies for key institutional accounts including government and strategic healthcare systems.
  • Continuously assess medical landscape shifts, treatment paradigms, unmet patient needs, and competitive scientific developments.

Medical Affairs Support & Scientific Communication

  • Deliver accurate, unbiased scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal medical training and scientific education for teams including:
    • Commercial teams
    • Regulatory teams
    • Pharmacovigilance teams
    • Market Access teams
    • Legal stakeholders
    • HEOR teams
  • Present scientific updates, disease education, and therapeutic insights clearly and credibly.

Clinical Trial Support & Research Collaboration

  • Support interventional and non-interventional clinical research activities within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Identify and assess potential clinical trial sites, investigators, and feasibility opportunities.
  • Provide field insights to clinical development teams regarding study feasibility, recruitment opportunities, and site suitability.
  • Support CRO-sponsored studies and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) processes in alignment with internal medical governance.

Medical Insights & Strategic Intelligence

  • Gather and communicate meaningful field medical insights from scientific stakeholders to inform strategic medical and commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor evolving scientific literature, treatment guidelines, competitive intelligence, and clinical trial developments.
  • Translate complex scientific evidence into actionable strategic insights.

Pharmacovigilance & Safety Reporting

  • Ensure identification and reporting of adverse events (AEs), safety signals, and pharmacovigilance-related information according to company SOPs and compliance requirements.
  • Support investigators and research teams with safety process understanding where relevant.

Patient Advocacy & Medical Education Support

  • Support patient advocacy initiatives and educational awareness programs in collaboration with advocacy groups and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Contribute to development of scientifically accurate patient education resources where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS mandatory; MD preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience, with 2–3 years of field medical affairs experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in Oncology and/or Haematology therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical affairs operations, field scientific engagement, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design, investigator engagement, scientific publications, and healthcare access environments.
  • Proven ability to build trusted peer-to-peer relationships with medical stakeholders and scientific experts.
  • Strong presentation, communication, scientific interpretation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
