We are currently seeking a Senior Medical Copywriter to join our growing team in India. This role is ideal for an experienced promotional medical content professional who can combine scientific accuracy with compelling storytelling to support omnichannel pharmaceutical marketing initiatives across global markets.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Content Development & Strategy

  • Develop high-quality, evidence-based promotional medical content for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients across digital and traditional channels, including websites, eDetailers, emails, brochures, social media, videos, webinars, and sales enablement materials.

  • Translate complex scientific, clinical, and regulatory data into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate messaging.

  • Align content with brand strategy, medical positioning, and omnichannel marketing objectives.

Omnichannel & Digital Marketing Support

  • Create SEO-optimized medical content for websites, blogs, and digital platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, UX, and digital teams to deliver integrated omnichannel campaigns, including eDetailing, mobile platforms, virtual events, and AI-enabled tools.

  • Support the development of personalized content journeys based on audience segmentation and insights.

Compliance & Scientific Accuracy

  • Ensure all promotional materials comply with global regulatory and ethical standards, including FDA, EMA, and PhRMA guidelines.

  • Work closely with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) teams to support timely content review and approval.

  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and proper referencing of scientific literature and clinical guidelines.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Brand, and Sales teams to align scientific messaging with commercial objectives.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and timely content delivery.

Content Performance & Optimization

  • Track content performance metrics and optimize materials based on engagement data, market trends, and stakeholder feedback.

  • Update content regularly to reflect new clinical evidence, therapeutic advances, and evolving marketing needs.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Journalism, or a related field with a focus on medical writing.

  • Advanced qualifications such as PhD, PharmD, or MD are an added advantage.

Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in medical copywriting or promotional medical content development within pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare communications, or medical advertising agencies.

  • Proven experience developing HCP- and patient-focused content for omnichannel campaigns.

  • Exposure to therapeutic areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, or rare diseases is preferred.

  • Experience working on US and/or EU markets and familiarity with global approval processes is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific writing, and pharmaceutical promotional guidelines.

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Working knowledge of SEO, UX writing, social media, and email marketing.

  • Experience with content management systems and CRM platforms such as Veeva or Salesforce.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
