Senior Medical Affairs Specialist – Beijing or Shanghai, China

Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Senior Medical Affairs Specialist in Beijing or Shanghai. In this role, you'll provide critical medical and scientific input, ensuring compliant and effective execution of medical affairs activities. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with prior experience in clinical development or medical affairs, especially those holding an MD, PharmD, or PhD degree.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver scientific and medical expertise to support medical affairs strategies.

  • Collaborate on scientific review of materials such as promotional content, publications, and medical education.

  • Assist in the planning of advisory boards, investigator meetings, and medical congresses.

  • Develop slide decks, manuscripts, and scientific presentations to communicate data effectively.

  • Monitor scientific literature and industry developments to support evidence-based decision-making.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) in a healthcare-related discipline.

  • Prior experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or pharma/biotech/medical device industry.

  • Deep understanding of scientific and clinical data interpretation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex data.

  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills within regulatory environments.
