Role Overview

A leading healthcare communications organization is seeking a strategic and analytically driven Senior Media Planner to join its integrated media team in Santa Monica, California. This role is responsible for developing and executing omnichannel media strategies for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients across digital and traditional platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring agency experience, pharmaaceutical industry expertise, and a data-informed approach to media planning. This position plays a key role in shaping campaign strategy, optimizing media investments, and delivering measurable ROI for healthcare brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated media planning across pharmaceutical client accounts with a strategy-first, holistic perspective.

  • Develop and execute multi-channel media campaigns including digital, programmatic, social, search, and traditional advertising platforms.

  • Provide media strategy consultancy to internal teams and client stakeholders.

  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to optimize targeting, audience segmentation, and performance measurement.

  • Identify scalable media solutions that enhance campaign effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee media buying considerations and budget allocation strategies to maximize ROI.

  • Present campaign strategies, insights, and performance outcomes to client teams.

  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical advertising regulations and industry standards.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in integrated media planning or media buying, preferably within an advertising agency environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare media planning.

  • Strong knowledge of digital media buying, audience targeting, and campaign optimization tools.

  • Experience managing omnichannel campaigns across paid media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful client presentations and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and derive actionable insights.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position is $83,500 to $95,000, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and overall competency alignment. Additional performance-based incentives or bonus eligibility may apply based on individual and company performance metrics.
